|Type of troll||Harasser/Failtroll|
David Mabus is considered to be the very first troll on internet and, as such, that makes him the most notorious troll ever. Recently though, he is not receiving much recognition for his attempts at trolling.
Why he is a troll[edit | edit source]
He was known to send unsolicited, and sometimes threatening, emails to atheists and scientists which is considered to be targeted harassment. In modern days, he created several Twitter/Facebook accounts to witch hunt said atheists and scientists online.
Biography[edit | edit source]
His real name is Dennis Markuze, he is a caucasian Christian that appears to be in his fifties and lives in Québec. He used to be a computer salesman in Montréal, but he either left his job or was fired. He suffered from a mental illness based on sources.
Lifetime[edit | edit source]
He was first introduced to internet trolling circa 1990.
1990-2011[edit | edit source]
The 90's is when he began to send rude or threatening emails to atheists and such through email service providers or usenet.
He eventually joined several atheist forums to further rant on how "god is real and all atheists will burn in hell". Two notable forums he went to spread his "love of god" were Think Humanism and International Skeptics.
He further harassed people on Usenet and eventually came to witch hunt PZ Myers through the latter's blog website, Pharyngula. It is noteworthy that, despite the fact there are a lot of atheist bloggers online, PZ Myers and his blog website was Dennis/David's main target.
Funnily enough, despite not having the humor of a generic 4channer/troll and being a genuine psychopath, he still managed to create a meme by yelling "GOATS ON FIRE!" all over the place.
In 2011, William Raillant-Clark called the police and he was arrested, but no charge were made against him, and shortly after being arrested, he was free to harass anyone he wanted to harass once more.
2011-2015[edit | edit source]
Continuing his shenanigans until the very end, he created several more Twitter accounts and Facebook accounts to harass atheists and renowned scientists on those two platforms.
He eventually came to the attention of the police who have decided to launch another police investigation, he was found, he was forcibly arrested and was forced to follow a psychiatric evaluation.
One year later, his use of internet was restricted for 18 whole months, but he refused to comply with those restrictions as he kept harassing people online. One more year later, he resumed his witch hunt against PZ Myers on his blog. He kept attacking atheist forums and harassing atheists up until June 2015 when he was arrested for 3 whole years and he was forced to follow a psychiatric threatment.
2018[edit | edit source]
He came back once more in 2018, but as a shell of his former self. Instead of receiving the attention he always wanted, people ignored him all the way through, effectively changing his status of an active troll that was pissing everyone off to a complete failure.
Noteworthy facts[edit | edit source]
He was banned quite a few times on Twitter and Facebook for his death threats and personal attacks. Any forum he tried to raid would cause him to get subsequently banned from it and he was already shadowbanned from most atheist blogs.
"Mabus" is the name of an antichrist figure, the fact he uses this as his persona's family name is disconcerting to say the least.
He's been arrested 3 times.
According to his own personal website (Linked below), David Mabus might be a fan of Donald John Trump since a picture of Trump is the very first thing that appears on his website. On that same note which is based again on his personal website, he is against Capitalism with similar beliefs to Anarchists out there.
