Symbol of gay and trans pride in solidarity with Black Lives Matter

The LGBTQ+ Community is an organization and group of people who celebrate pride, diversity, individuality, and sexuality. They strongly oppose homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, sexualization, and conformity.

Why is it on Trollpedia[edit | edit source]

The LGBTQ+ is often a target of trolls and troll campaigns (Notably, Super Straight and the Straight Pride Parade.) because they are deemed "easy to troll" or "easy to trigger".

Some members of this community are commonly associated within troll culture due to their frequent interactions with said trolls, and in fact, some of them are trolls themselves. Note that as with incels and virgins, there are trolls who pretend to be part of the LGBTQ+ community too.

The majority of this trolling is quite common on Twitter where the LGBTQ+ community and internet trolling overlap.

Many of these people are associated within outrage and cancel culture, and often are very narcissistic, defamatory and accusatory of other people.

Confusion between LGBTQ+ people and the LGBTQ+ Community[edit | edit source]

It is important not to confuse people who are gay or bisexual as being in the LGBTQ+ community, as the LGBTQ+ community is an organization and social group of people that not everyone might participate in.

LGBTQ+ Community Lexicon[edit | edit source]

  • "Cis" or "Cisgender" is a term used for someone who is matches their gender identity and sex assigned at birth. Commonly used as a derogatory term used by the community. The term "white cis male" was popularized by bloggers of Tumblr.
  • "Trans" is a term short for Transgender.
  • "Gay" is a term for men who attracted to other men, and is generally prefered over "Homosexual" which sounds too scientific. Sometimes, it is used as a slur by homophobes.
  • "Lesbian" is a term for women attracted to other women, and is generally prefered over "Homosexual" which sounds too scientific.
  • "MAP" (Minor Attracted Persons) is an umbrella term, and community built around people attracted to minors under the age of 18. Broken into three categories, a paraphilia and two chronophilias. 1. Pedophilia 2. Hebephilia and 3. Ephebophilia. They are often all misinterpreted as being part of the LGBTQ+ community, although they do not claim to. MAP's are also often incorrectly labeled synonymously with pedophiles.
  • "Minor" is a common favorite jargon used by the LGBTQ+ community, and is used to refer to someone under the age of 18. Also, it is a legal term used in law firms.

Slurs and pejoratives against LGBTQ+ People[edit | edit source]

Ambox important.svg The slurs are spoilered, click on them to reveal them.
  • "Queer" means "tacky and weird in a bad way".
  • "Faggot" is a slur used against Gay and Lesbian people. Occasionally, you might find that people who are particularly vulgar will use the terminology to insult Straight people or employ it as a suffix to insult groups of people unrelated (Or, sometimes, somewhat related) to the LGBTQ+ in the same vein as how "Retard" is often added as a suffix to words.
  • "Tranny" is a slur against trans people.
  • "Troon" is a portemanteau of the slur above and "goon".

Hypocrisy from Tumblr/Twitter LGBTQ+ Members[edit | edit source]

The LGBTQ+ community on Twitter and Tumblr is notoriously toxic (Much like any other community on Twitter), about 70% of the these users are very elitist, TERF, and Anti against certain group of people who simply express their opinion and in some cases, heterosexual. They can even target each other in some instances, speak highly against bisexuals, or straight people, which makes them giant hypocrites. They are also associated with the #Metoo movement. Particular LGBTQ+ community members also originate from websites like Tumblr and Twitter, a notorious cesspit of elitist TERF's and narcissistic LGBTQ+ community members.

The vast majority of the members on Twitter and Tumblr are elitist, radical feminists, and far left extremists who hate 'cisgenders' and heterosexuals. However, this is not to say all people in this community are that way.

Bigotry within the group[edit | edit source]

The LGBTQ+ community is occasionally judged for its lack of tolerance from within its group. For example, there are still ongoing cases of Biphobia where the person is accused of secretly being straight or Transphobia perpretrated by Lesbian TERFs.

Generally speaking however, LGBTQ+ people do not welcome hatred of any sort, though some work needs to be done for that to fully be the case.

Noteworthy facts[edit | edit source]

Some of them are prejudiced toward cisgender straight people which is bound to happen anyway as most social groups have their outliers.

Originally, it was considered as the LGB community, though not officially. The TQ+ came later down the line after the struggle of Transgender people were known with several activists suggesting to include them to the neologism.

A notorious sister movement called MOGAI exists and supports all gender identities. Alternatively, there is GSRM (Gender, Sexual, and Romantic Minority).
